Three hour work cycle

In Montessori Primary, the school day has one long, uninterrupted work period (9.15 am to 12.15 am). It is a time to engage deeply, choose work and practise mastery. Children take part in presentations from their teachers, practise and apply what they have learnt, tackle work on projects they have initiated and take an active role in caring for their environment. A cafe-style snack is available throughout the morning which the children prepare, serve and tidy away themselves.
